Short answer: Tradify is a well-liked job app, priced per user at £34, £37 or £44 a month. People usually look for an alternative for one of three reasons: the bill rises with every person they add, they want calls answered and leads followed up rather than only jobs managed, or they have outgrown it. The right alternative depends on which of those applies to you. This guide is written by Unavoidable CRM, which is one of the options, and every price is from the vendor’s own UK page on 22 October 2026.
Tradify’s UK pricing page lists Lite at £34, Pro at £37 and Plus at £44 per user per month, with a Custom plan on request and a 14-day trial. Text message quotes, invoices and reminders cost 10p each. For three people on Pro that is £111 a month, and for five people it is £185.
| Alternative | Pricing | Five people | Pick it if |

| Unavoidable CRM | £29 (1 user), £149 (5 users), £399 (unlimited) | £149 | You miss calls and want leads chased automatically |
| ServiceM8 | By jobs: free, £25, £59, £119, £269 | Set by job volume, unlimited users | You have several people but a modest number of jobs |
| Powered Now | £28 (1 user), £32 or £40 per user, ex VAT | £160 or £200 | You want MTD and VAT returns in your job app |
| Fergus | From £39 and £45 a month (offer until December) | Check Fergus’s UK pricing page | You need job costing, timesheets and purchase orders |
| Commusoft | Not published, 12-month contract | On request | You have six or more staff and want depth |
Unavoidable CRM does what Tradify does for quotes, jobs, certificates and invoices, and adds the front end of the business: an AI receptionist that answers and books calls, a text back to anyone you miss, a sales pipeline, one inbox for texts, WhatsApp and email, and automatic follow-ups. It is priced per business, with every feature on every plan: £29 a month for one person, £149 for up to five. Texts, calls and AI minutes are paid to Twilio and Retell at cost, about 10p to 15p a minute for the receptionist.
Be aware: for two to four people, Tradify Pro is cheaper than our Team plan. It is a newer product without third-party reviews yet, and it runs in the browser rather than as an app store app. See Unavoidable CRM vs Tradify for the full side-by-side.
ServiceM8 charges by jobs per month rather than per user, with unlimited users on paid plans. A team doing 150 jobs a month pays £59, however many engineers it has. There is a free plan for up to 30 jobs, and a phone add-on from £15 a month. The catch is that busy months can move you up a tier. See Unavoidable CRM vs ServiceM8.
Powered Now costs £28 a month for one user, or £32 and £40 per user on its team plans, all before VAT. Professional includes certificates, unlimited texts and emails, VAT return submission and Making Tax Digital. It also sells an AI receptionist add-on at £29 or £39 a month. See Unavoidable CRM vs Powered Now.
Fergus suits plumbing, electrical and building firms that need deeper job control: job phases, timesheets, supplier integrations, purchase orders and reporting. Its UK page lists Essentials from £39 and Professional £45 a month, and when we checked it was showing 90% off until December. The page did not make clear whether those prices are per user, so check before comparing. See Unavoidable CRM vs Fergus.
Commusoft is designed for businesses with six or more staff. It does not publish prices, licenses every office user and engineer, and uses a 12-month contract on standard plans. In return you get service contracts, a customer portal, stock control, offline mobile working and fleet tracking as an add-on. See Unavoidable CRM vs Commusoft.
Switching costs time. Stay on Tradify if your team knows it well, you are two to four people, your calls are already answered, and you mainly need quotes, jobs and invoices. Tradify Plus also has purchase orders, kit bundles and AI for reading supplier bills, which are not on our published feature list.
It suits sole traders and teams of around five who lose jobs to missed calls and quotes that go quiet, and who want one price for the whole team.
It does not suit a two or three person team that only needs job management, or a larger firm that needs purchase orders and job costing today.
In Tradify, export your customers to a spreadsheet (CSV). Start a free trial, import the file in Contacts, forward your existing number to the AI receptionist and book the free 15-minute setup call. Related reading: best CRM for UK trades, Unavoidable CRM for trades and texts and calls at cost.
